Gastrocanarias is a gastronomic fair, which annually, from 2014, takes place on Tenerife island in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The fifth Gastrocanarias 2018 exhibition will be open from 22 to 24 May in the building of the Recinto Ferial de Tenerife exhibition center, built in the shape of a ship. The aim of the event is to show and promote products of gastronomy and dishes of the Canary archipelago. The best restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and gourmet shops will present their products to everyone. A distinctive feature of the fifth exhibition is that for the first time on it there will be a gastronomy of all seven Canary Islands.
In Gastrocanarias 2018 the best chefs, waiters, sommeliers and restaurateurs will take part. At the exhibition you can see a wide variety of dishes and drinks from the archipelago, presented at 195 booths with products. As in previous years, competitions of professional skills will be organized. During the master classes for cooking desserts, tapas and other dishes, one can observe the skilful work of experienced craftsmen. Visitors of the exhibition will be able to taste the novelties of Canarian gastronomy and original dishes from the island’s cuisine and buy high-quality and delicious products for themselves, their friends and loved ones.
If you find yourself in Tenerife at this time, do not deny yourself the pleasure of visiting the largest culinary event of the year and get acquainted with the various dishes and drinks of the archipelago. To get to Santa Cruz de Tenerife you can from Las Americas, Puerto de la Cruz and those resorts where you left off on vacation by rent a car in Tenerife, or arrived by public transport. The exhibition will be open on 22, 23,24 May from 10.30 to 20.30. Entrance for 1 day costs 8 euros, a card for 3 days – 15 euros.
