This webcam shows the northern part of the beach del Roque (Playa del Roque) in Tazacorte, one of the most beautiful towns in the Canary Island of La Palma. Tazacorte is located on the west coast of the island and is interesting both for its natural beauty and the abundance of architectural attractions. Due to these circumstances, many tourists come to town. Some spend here a few hours or one day. Others are so fascinated by the beauty of this place, that they stay here for a few days or the entire period of their vacation. There are several hotels in the city, where you can book a room, using the Hotellook service. A plus of Tazacorte is its climate. Located in a valley between high mountains, it is the warmest town on the island of La Palma. From here to the capital of Santa Cruz is only 17 km. You can get there by public transport or by renting a car in the Canaries.
Tazacorte webcam is directed to the northern part of the black volcanic sand beach. Playa del Roque got its name, because it situated by the high rock El Time. If you want to conquer it, you can climb up the rocky path and look at the city from a height. It is very beautiful: miniature houses between the rocks, a port with small ships, the coastline and the endless Atlantic Ocean. This view alone conquers even seasoned travelers, who return again and again to Tazacorte. Near the rock of El Time you can see the barrage dam. To her you can walk and admire the view of the ocean. Here, thanks to the warm Canarian sun, you can sunbathe, play beach games, watch the ships and yachts, leaving for the sea. Sun loungers, umbrellas, shower and toilet are available on the beach.
Next to Playa del Roque is the embankment, along which there are cafes and bars, where you can eat, drink soft drinks. One of the best restaurants in the city is Tavern del Puerte. It is located in an old yellow Canarian style building near the beach del Roque. It serves delicious fresh seafood: clams, king prawns, tender fish, squid, octopus, steaks, Canarian potatoes with sauces, sangria and other beverages and dishes. Inside you can look at old photos of Tazacorte to understand, how the city looked like before. Outside there is a terrace, where you can admire the sea and the port, while waiting for your order.
